"My girlfriend and I stayed for 10 days at this apartment over Christmas and New Year 2009/10. The apartment is of a high standard with a sea view over the floating mosque below and a welcome sea breeze. Arranging the rental was very straightforward and when we requested an extra few days around new year, the response from the landlord was prompt, friendly and amenable. I would recommend the apartment to couples and small families who are looking for a little peace - not slap bang in George Town or Batu Ferringhi. As such a car would be helpful as it is a short distance to both these places and their associated amenities. That the apartment comes with a dedicated car parking space makes this an even more attractive option.

Recent upgrade works at the Coastal Towers condo have improved the communal reception areas and the pool area, which is very nice to relax in after a session in the onsite gym (complete with new equipment). Details such as welcome comestibles, bathroom cosmetics, fluffy towels, wifi internet (via USB dongle) and satellite TV are all a nice touch. In my opinion better value for money than similar apartments available nearer Batu Ferringhi beach or in George Town." Review by James from UK

"We just wanted to thank you so much for a great 5 week stay in your lovely clean apartment in Penang. Suited us very well and so appreciated the Astro TV connection to allow us to keep up to date with the international news. We forgot to mention on leaving that one of the best points is your apartment gets only the early morning sun and thereafter is in the shade - a big plus is that you don't have direct sun beating into the lounge area during the day like so many other apartments!!

Catching the super new buses just down the road into Georgetown was a breeze and we found the walk back up the hill was worth it as we ate rather well and a good walk was what we needed! You should mention to your future clients that there is an eating area just down the road to catch the bus which is jam-packed every lunchhour with an excellent choice of delicious foods. Choose what you want and they charge accordingly.

The management kept the communal pool and gym area very clean throughout our stay which we appreciated. We found very few people used the pool in fact and often had the whole area to ourselves. "Security - Worried about safety? There's a guard at the street entrance, a guard in the lobby, a carded door lock to the elevators, a key to the 'front gate' of the 'patio' then a key to front door. Security camera's all around as well.

Spotless, that pretty much describes the whole place. Very clean, I didn't expect to find such a nice place in Penang. Also, its more spacious than it appears in the pictures. Kitchen has most everything you would need. Pots and pans, silverware, plates, etc. There were plenty of bath/hand towels as well.

My only issue with this place is the bathroom and shower. There is nothing to prevent water from splashing all over the bathroom while you shower, so you learn to use lower pressure. Also, the tile bathroom gets VERY slippery when wet. I bought a few cheap $2 bathroom mats tho, and that was no longer a problem.

In the end, the place far exceeded the value of what I paid and I was very happy with it. Things like the bathroom were just a minor nuisance. If you don't need the services a hotel provides, I definitely recommend this place. In fact, I felt safer here than my last trip when I stayed at Traders hotel (no employee's coming in and out of your condo to clean every day)

One last thing, I was met by the owner upon arrival at the condo. Very nice and friendly, was very good at answering all my questions via email before arriving as well." Review by Josh from US

"We had a really great stay at Coastal Towers. Raymond was excellent to deal with - very prompt and helpful and the property manager had the apartment all set up for us. We were very impressed with the groceries stocked on arrival and all the thoughtful details. Tanjung Bungah is a great location - close to all attractions. "A group of three of us stayed for one week in November. Raymond the owner picked us up from Georgetown and was extremely hospitable by taking us to an ATM, taking us to the apartment to drop our bags off and then kindly agreed to take us back in to town for some food - all in kind nature.

The location of the apartment itself is best described about 10 mins drive from Batu Ferringhi and 20 minutes drive to Georgetown. A great way to get around is by bus, cheap, frequent and convenient although for older guests, walking up to the apartment from the bus stop may be an issue due to the gradient.

The apartment is airy and spacious with a great size main bedroom and living area. Thoroughly clean throughout with absolutely everything provided including washing liquid, all crockery and utensils, towels, abundance of shower gel and shampoo and the best touch was the welcome hamper/food. Raymond really doesn't miss a thing... there was tea/coffee, bread, cereal, milk, butter, biscuits, noodles, orange juice etc.

Mobile phone is provided to receive incoming calls for free although we didn't use it, it was still a nice touch. Internet dongle provides internet access which had good speed.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would return as well as recommend to all our friends and family.
